
Saadani national park is a former Tanzanian game reserve situated in northen east of Tanznaia (southwest of the port of Tanga) which existed between early in the year of 1969 whereby In the late 1990s, Mr. Domician Njao, from Tanzania National Parks Authority (TANAPA) upgraded The Saadan Game Reserve to a National Park whereby it become the first Tanzanian National Park found on the sea belt. In 2005, Saadan become officially as a National Park after the Tanzania National Parks Authority (TANAPA) redrawing the boundaries of the reserve and completing an agreements with Uvinje and Parokanyas villagers.
Sadani National Park contain various animals like Big Four, African bush elephants, lions, Cape buffaloes and leopards. Masai giraffes, waterbucks, Lichtenstein’s hartebeest, blue wildebeests, bohor reedbucks, common and red duikers, yellow baboons, vervet monkeys, blue monkeys, Colobus monkeys, mongooses, genets, porcupines, sable antelopes, warthogs, hippopotamuses, crocodiles, Dik-Diks, and nile monitors
Most activities performed in Saadan National Park are; Game drives, guided walking tours, Boat trips and Swimming.
